The Rogue Embermane wanders the Sheltered Frontier, the regular Embermane can be found in The Yonder Keys, and the Bloodfire Embermane lurks the Maelstrom zone. Honestly, downing the Embermane feels like abusing a puppy, especially when it lets out cries of pain.Īny part of the Embermane’s body is breakable, but we advise caution when fighting melee because the behemoth will often perform a spinning attack using its tail. To survive an encounter with an Embermane at lower levels slayers must time their boops and dodges perfectly.Īt later stages of the game the Embermane becomes incredibly easy to take down. This behemoth is always moving, scurrying back and forth while trying to launch the slayer into the air with its horns.
The only way to stagger the Embermane is by booping it during its charge attack. Thanks to it’s slender build, the Embermane is fast, agile, and almost impossible to pin down.

The Shrike is one of the most challenging behemoths in Dauntless, due mostly in part to its incredible speed, erratic movement patterns, and unnatural strength. It also uses its huge wings and razor-sharp talons to dive towards its prey from above, crushing anything that dares stand in its way. Despite common misconceptions, the Shrike doesn’t actually hoot.ĭauntless’s favorite winged behemoth owl skulks the island and creates localized vortexes to scare its enemies. 
Like most monsters in the Dauntless universe, the Shrike is a hybrid between a buffed up eagle and an owl.
